How much is a good, used 64 Polara hood worth these days? $400-$500???
I paid 450 for a 66 Plymouth satellite hood, but it was in pristine condition.
My original hood/paint is perfect and if I do the hood scoop no way I'm cutting the orig hood so buying another is the only way that can happen. I saw a beater 4 door for sale. To me looks like a parts car at best. The hood looks good so I thought maybe make a good offer to entice him to sell just the hood
If you are scooping anyway you could consider fiberglass, and save weight. Mike
I'm a Mopar newbe, who sells them?
I looked on 2 sites and only found lift-off styles. Try Larry @ Sled City. Mike
Can't find a website for sledcity
What are the 2 sites?
http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/catalog.htm AAR Quality Fiberglass Reproductions Mopar Fiberglass Hoods, Scoops, Fenders & Body Kits Mike
Larry's web site is down but, you can call him. Mike
I bought a VFN scoop one, pretty bad quality. That AAR website looks better but no 64 Dodge hood just Max scoops
If you can buy a good steel hood for 400 bucks i'd buy it .
There was a member giving one away for free couple weeks ago https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/free-64-polara-hood.222174/
Looks like he was giving away a good hood, up in Northern Calif
I may have driven the 400 miles to go pick up the free hood but my 64 deal fell apart
Start a parts wanted thread and see what surfaces. You are in the drivers seat as far as what you buy, how much you will pay, and how far you will need to drive to get it.
Lol, that's the problem with big, bulky parts, either you can't sell them when their in your way or you can't find them when you need them.
