1964 pushbutton cable shift 727 work on a 1965 floor console ?

Im looking at going to a big block conversion with a 727 setup on my 65 Satellite.
It currently has a floor console cable type 727.
Would a 727 pushbutton style cable connect to the floor?

You need a 64/65 floor shift/column cable. I may have one. I'll look today.

Are you replacing a small block 1965 727, with a big block 1964 727? That is how I am reading the question. If this is the case, you will need to install the 1965 valve body and cable in the 1964 transmission. To retain the 1965 slip-yoke driveshaft, you will have to swap the 1965 output shaft and housing into the 1964 case. To do this, both transmissions need to come completely apart.
