Anyone have a method to validate if my temp gauge on my 64 Plymouth is working?

Make sure the gauge connections to the circuit board are tight.
If the connections are tight, go from the engine to the gauge.
Does the resistance of the temperature sensor change? Take a hot and cold reading.
If the resistance changes, check the wire for continuity from the sensor to the gauge. Use a long wire.
If there is continuity, check for a pulsed 12 volts at the gauge with an analog meter.
If you have a pulsed 12 volts, then the gauge is probably bad

Thanks
