1965 Coronet 500 with a factory 413 wedge?

Hello all,

I found the following ad but cannot find any info to back up the claims of the owner:

"1965 Dodge 500 Convertible, runs & drives, needs easy restoration. 1 of 13 - 500 performance package 413 wedge motor cars produced. Galen Govier Certified in person, report included"

Of course, there is no price in the ad anyway, and in my experience whenever there is no price that means that the price is exhorbitant, so I haven't bothered to even call about it, not yet anyway.

opinions please....like could this be a #'s matching car, and any ideas on a ballpark price for a conv needing a resto?

to the best of my knowledge there weren't any coronets with 413"s from the factory in 1965. /6, 318, 361, 383, or 426 are all that i'm aware of.

maybe you can get a copy of that report?? if it is certified as a 413, that would be fascinating.

Galen's little white production option code book for '62 - '65 shows 2 different 413 engines available for '65. Code 70 is 340 hp 7 code 71 is 360 hp so those would be the numbers to look for to see if it came from the factory with a 413.

Don't forget the 273 (precursor to the LH 318)--available in the Belvedere and Coronet--but wasn't available in the Satellite or Coronet 500 (the base engine for those was the poly 318).
