1966 67 Belvedere wheel lip / lower quarter patch panels

I found these on line and was wondering if any one has first hand experience with the fit and overall accuracy.

Not very accurate but they are the best you are going to find in the aftermarket. Unfortunately no one makes them for the 66-67 B but these guys. I used them on both quarters on my 66 and they were a bear to get right. They wheel lip is not even close to the factory but since mine were completely gone and I couldn't find any off a donor I used them. image.jpg

That red car above looks great! I thought I saw in the pic of the actual part that the lip feature might have looked off so that's why I asked.

Thanks for the tip on pricing! I'm not ready to do anything yet so maybe I'll get lucky on a set off a donor car.

I did see some 4 dr quarters for sale on here and was wondering id those would work. Thoughts on that?

I got Sherman panels (frightening shipping cost to the UK!!) and I can confirm the quality is p155-poor :icon_confused:

I'm using my 4.5" grinder to carve a dolly out of a chunk of solid 2"x2". I'm going to use this to reshape the lip before I weld it on. Fingers crossed I don't make it worse!

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.

I used these on both sides with good results. The passenger side fit perfect for me but the drivers side needed lots of massaging to fit, luckily I didn't need the whole patch on that side so I could partially just discard the area of problem.

Start there and my patching goes for a few posts but you will get the idea. That first pic on post #90 is the whole panel as I received it.

BTW, buy them from Rockauto, cheaper and you can use the discount codes for 5% off...1649651813692103

Oh and I think the one you listed was unavailable when I did this.

I'm pleased with my dolly, it needs a little more work though- I have to curve the bottom face in pic 2 to match the outer curve of the wheel arch lip.

Looks good! Have you tried it yet?

IIRC two are made- one is terrible, one is fair.

Measure the area you need and then measure the 4D metal.

My bro used patches cut from a 4D and they came out great.

Drainage is differnt in 4D cars and they don't hardly rust at all.

As a bonus, unless yours have gotten really bad, the usual 2D rust is covered by the 4D metal.

bought mine from year one, perfect fit on both sides. I tried the jc whitney ones, don't waste your money not even close!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a try-out with my dolly- I made a repair section from scratch for the wheel well and it worked great!
