66 Charger 383 4 barrel 727 belongs to my 10 year old son Drake.

Interesting.

This is not a 383 car, but a 361 car.

This fender and emblem are OEM but have been painted.

Wonder if it was a plant thing.

IIRC this is a St, Louis car.

...hmm, maybe it is more towards the front.

A pair of 383-4 Chargers

I have two 383- 4 bbl Chargers, a 66 and 67.
Black 66 from CA was factory ordered with 383-4v, A/T, AC, PS, PB, padded visors, light pkg., remote mirror, 2:94 rear and radio. Still has the original 383 and the AC works. The headlights now rotate as designed. Never found a buildsheet, but fender tag there.

The silver 67 from TX and AZ is somewhat strangely optioned. (in my opinion). 383 - 4v, NN1 buffed silver, 4 speed, A/C, P/S, P/B, console, radio, remote outside mirror and 3:23 rear. Strange someone would pay for all these options but not go for wheel covers or road wheels. It was delivered with blackwall tires and the standard hub caps as shown in one of the pictures.
Still with the original 383 and headlights now rotate as designed. Never found a buildsheet, but fender tag is

I added bumper guards and console clocks to both cars

Nice chargers! How long ago did you buy that black 66 out of california? My dad sold one to a guy in virginia when we lived in california in the 80s. Looked just like yours. May be a small world?

I bought the black 66 from a person with a last name Muller in Glendale, CA in early 1987 or 88. Drove it home to VA and still love this car.

Is this thread dead already?

I'll add my two Jeff, course you've already seen them!

The 66 500 is a 383 4bbl 4 spd., manual brakes and manual steering. Found the car about 25 years ago in the local want ad, missed it twice. It went through 5 owners then I had my chance. It's only got 52K on it, but needs a complete resto due to some one doing very bad paint work. Even the interior colors/shine are wrong.

The wagon is now my favorite, it's a 383 4bbl 4SPD! Only one made. Very cool car. It's got manual drum brakes and manual steering and AC. Very unusual combination. Bought it from a fellow FBBO member who originally was going to take the drive train out of it. The bad is it needs a roof. I'm not going to rebody it, I will be replacing the roof when I get to it.

Very, very cool station wagon. I'd love to see the fender tag if you could post a picture.
Thanks
