1966 Coronet Project

I don't think the woodgrain console top plate would be for a 66 either.

But if you like it that's cool
This is true. My 66 coronet 500 came with the linear chrome design top. I preferred the wood grain look to go along with my gold interior. It’s any easy swap to change it back anyway.

Today’s fuckery and OCD moments. Organized bolts. Bagged them all up. Ready to clean and put up. Still so much more to go through. My parts washer pump **** the bed and my compressor started leaking at the control box. I guess I know what I am doing tomorrow.

Welcome, friend to "things you do in the garage that take a lot of time and/or money, before you can work on your car".

Well today and yesterday I put a rear seat in the 65. Puddles with taking apart the buckets I have for the 66 project. I’ve got some others where the trim is in better shape (Aluminum) I’ll make it pretty….not factory correct. lol

Went through some more ****, cleaned the hell out of some parts, cleaned 68-70 interior stuff and bubble wrapped and packed up. Cleaned a **** ton of seatbelts and arm rests. Got a whole box of ashtrays set aside to go through.

Damn near went insane at the sorting table. I wish Ma Mopar put PNs on everything!

Man, you've got all sorts of good stuff.
I wonder how many cars died to make up the hoard of parts. Trying to sort out all the stuff I need for my builds. Zero emotional attachment to any of the stuff. Wife is happy about that!!

Taking pictures are very helpful. Someone will see a possible item and inquire about it. Get closeups. Make the deal and send it packing. Way better than hauling stuff around to numerous swap meets, paying entry fees, selling barely enough to cover expenses. Done that numerous times.

I agree on the meets. Most of the time it’s more of a social call and I end up letting stuff go waaaay cheap with someone standing in front of me of me.

Wasn’t able to fix my compressor so I need to address that and get my blasting cabinet up and running.

Well, can’t say I made a ton of progress on anything other than continuing to clean and label parts.

Tore the bucket seats I’m going to use down and treated some surface rust on the back panels. The tracks are off and I will have drill out a few of the studs and replace. Tracks otherwise slide well and will get a full cleaning.

I am on the hunt for the chrome trim pieces circled in red. The top pieces are in decent shape and should polish up.

I tore down a 67 383 and beat the pistons out and stuffed her in the hot tank…..man I’m outta shape. Only missed with the sledge once…didn’t hurt too bad, lol.
