1967 coronet r/t (s)

Mobil/Shell 91 octane with Champion RJ14Y's.
Man! I remember in the early eighties... ran premium, switched to J12Y and still had to stall it out (the four speed)
I put a second throttle spring on the six pack linkage and found the solenoid that closed the centre carb when the ignition was shut off.
That second spring closed the throttle so fast that it "crashed" on each slow shift.......... sounded awesome with "thrush type mufflers".
The second spring was actually attached to the secondaries, which connected to the main throttle via a "stock type" rod with an adjustable slider.
I could manually set the point on the throttle where I wanted the outboards to open up. (earlier for street, later for highway trips so I could cruise
at 70+ on the middle carb alone.)

I think most of our cars would be 1 of 1 if you boiled each one down to every option detail, interior option and color, etc. :)
Yeah, I recall reading once that auto manufacturers couldn't possibly build one of every combination they offered. Some options (besides paint and engines) actually included different colored doors, one headrest, etc.

Here's mine, out for a little exercize.
