Not really... The guy who painted it barely hit the RF fender so when it was being color sanded we had a problem... Literally three swipes with 1200 grit & the color is transparent.... Haven't touched it in months...

That’s too bad. Hopefully you’ll get back to it soon

Welcome..I restored a 68 Coronet 500 'vert many years ago in that colour....383/4bbl, auto, and a full load...buckets, console, power brakes with disc, power windows, tach etc....

That is an awesome story! It came from Shope Motors in Huntingdon, PA originally. Any additional information you have I would appreciate it! Plates are from PA 78-79

The Shope Motors store front (service not sales) actually still exists. I will try to get a picture of it for you. Ironically, my son goes to Juniata College about a 1/4 mile up the road from it. In the late 90’s I restored a 72 340 Demon that sold new at Shope Motors but unfortunately sold it.

I would love some pictures of Shope Motors. I got a hold of the local library and they were nice enough o send me some nice '68 ads when Shope Motors was still a dealership! No good pictures of when it was still a Chrysler Dealer.

I talked with Rick Shope, the son of the dealership's owner whho still owns the property. He is a great, nice guy. He remembers my car when he worked at the lot in the 60s!

Welcome. Same color scheme as my 68 500 ragtop..

Welcome from Canada! I still have some trinkets from the 68 R/T I put together years ago. We'll have to get together some time. And Todd might know where some sheet metal is.
