Looking to swap out the stock 16" steering wheel in my 1968 Coronet R/T 4 speed to gain better positioning on the clutch... Possible options are the Grant 15" wood TUFF steering wheel or maybe the Grant #1951 T Series Billet (black) 14" steering wheel... Want to reduce the wheel diameter and depth so I can be in a better position for using the clutch... Short driver problems!!

Anyone used either of these of a 4 speed 68/69 car... Or any other steering wheels that have worked out to allow the driver to be closer to the dash..

Thanks!

I put a Momo Johnny Player Special on that a friend didn’t need for the same reason. Car has power steering though. Really fixed the ergo. A Cheap Grant will accomplish the same.

Do you have power steering? A Smaller Wheel will make it fast and possibly touchy steering.
Just so you consider this on the swap.

If you have manual steering a smaller wheel makes it harder to turn.

Yes it has power steering... Drives good now and I think I could deal with it if no problem is does become a little bit faster/touchy... That's one reason I was thinking the 15" with about half the depth would be a good compromise...

What diameter and depth does that particular wheel have? Thanks!
