1968 Dodge Charger Build

Welcome! I am doing the same thing, spent most of 2025 rebuilding the shell, now working on grill/dash etc waiting on warmer weather for paint.
Fun project!
Awesome, that is where I am going to be when I get the suspension and steering back in the car. I will move into getting my dash rebuilt. Any reccomendations on what paint to use for the Pads, and black/chrome bezel pieces? I as just going to clean it all up and get some paint markets, spray paints.

Just ordered 2 Molotow chrome pens, have not tried them yet but they seem to get the best reviews. I am using SEM trim black on all the interior plastic and pads. Or SEM Landau black works good too. Using adhesion promoter on all plastics too.

Well, got my doors off today. Decided to drill a few holes through each bracket 1/8 so that I could use them to try and line the door back up after paint. Looks like I will need to order some new pins as well which I will order shortly. Looks like these just bang upwards and have x2 washer / bushings.

Getting the last of my body work items handled before she goes for paint in about a month. I started looking at the rear bumper brackets, the valance and tail panel holes don't line up perfect after getting the body squared so I'll need to get everything mocked up. Any tips / tricks anyone have on this part?

Yep had that on my 70 charger. Tac the corners on your quarters before you weld the lower valance.

Got to see my Fenders done yesterday, sooooo happy like a mirror! Almost emotional seeing it come back to life after so long.

Through some new bushings, primed, painted K-Member and bolted her back in. Ordered all the tie-rods, ball-joints etc. but I decided to wait till I am at the engine stage to redo the suspension. This is good enough for a roller to paint in March.

Just going to deal with that bumper bracket mounting for the rear and scuff the rest of the interior and start working on the dash.

Well used a step drill and sorted out the mounting for my bumper. Just quickly mocked it up, didn't want to have to do much work in that area once paint was on it even though it is hidden. A few more little odds and ends and she is off for paint!

Looks like my shop! I just did the fitup on my tail end too

Bigger the shop the more room for junk it always seams! That looks fantastic! I wasn't sure where the bumperettes bolted. I need to find that top chrome piece and the (2) that go between the lower tail-lens they didn't come with the car sadly.

Looking for some help, so I will be getting some of my Parts back from Paint in the next few weeks before the body goes in March for Interior / Exterior finish. With that in mind I have been going through the boxes of Parts the car came with (again it was torn apart 17+ years ago when I got it so I didn't take it apart). Anyways, have a look at the photo of window parts (I also found 3 more of the little motors / coils in another box not in this photo) What am I looking at here, what am I possibly missing? This part seams very daunting to me so any suggestions on best way forward is appreciated. (Power window car)

You need to get a factory service manual and identify the parts, it shows it all. I see an auto trans shifter rod guide for a console shifter on the bottom right. Its a daunting task to reassemble a car especially one you didn't take apart. if you can't find out what the part is, ask, someone on here will know, stay steady it will get done, good luck.
