1968 Plymouth GTX

You could spray it with oven cleaner and / or take a pressure washer to it

There are some rattle can spray paints if you're so inclined to replicate bare aluminum

Scrubbed the casing and tail housing, then spray painted them.

Waiting for the rebuild kit to get here so in the mean time, working on getting all the exterior parts cleaned painted.

Got everything cleaned up and polished and then began the reassembly.
Put new discs and steels in the clutches, the rings and seals on the pistons.

Reinstalled the front drums and the pump housing to check for shaft endplay:

The endplay was more than desired but unfortunately my rebuild kit didn't include thrust washers. So another $29 out of pocket and hurry up and wait.

Need some help.
In the past I have used Legendary Interiors for seat covers, door panels, etc. However it seems after reading customer reviews, that their quality has dropped some.
Stock Interiors had extremely low customer ratings also.
Profit Auto Interiors has a really good review rating. However, it looks like they just sell Legendary products at a reduced price.
Where are most of you getting your seat covers?

Got the transmission reassembled. Still looking for a couple of small parts.

I ordered a set of Patriot Raw Steel headers which arrived today.

My plan is to paint them with High Temperature paint.

Today I decided to see how they will clean up. So I did one tube using SPI solvent base Wax and Grease remover and a red Scotchbrite pad to see how it would look:

Okay, I violated rule number 1 on this first header. :(
They recommend media blasting the metal or sanding with 80 grit prior to applying paint.

Here's how it turned out:

Not bad, however I did media blast the second header and liked the fact that it hid the joints better.
Here it is in primer:

The first one looks good enough for who it is for. However, if I have enough paint and primer I might get tempted to redo it. LOL

Yes, I bought KBS high temperature paint with their primer. After reading a bunch on their website, it appears the primer wasn't necessary with this XTC paint.

This looks fantastic, the Mrs and I go back to the muscle car era of the 60s, both of us appreciate your effort and work to produce good looking MoPar power. :)

Will your be able to participate in the 100th year celebration of route 66?
When is that taking place?
Still have a ways to go before this car is road ready.

Okay, I need to know if the holes in the left side center flat portion on this Holley Dominator Intake manifold just get plugged?
Couldn't find anything on their website.

Anyone familiar with this electronic ignition module?

I tried searching for it but came up with nothing.

Trying to decide if it's even worth installing?

KEM was a brand sold through professional shops... I don't recall seeing it in parts stores, but knew of shops that used & sold it... Seemed to be decent quality... Made in USA
