1968 Stripe question, transverse vs horizontal

What would the Horizontal stripes be on these cars? Pinstripes?

I have never seen that stripe before. I looks like the alternative stripe on a 1968 Dart GTS.

Neither have I.

It doesn't cleanly center around the marker in front.

Has anyone checked hamtranckhistorical to see if there's a difference in codes for pinstripe or other stripe.

Just a home brewed stripe some previous owner added.

I’ve seen worse owner mods. It it hit the side markers correctly and had rounded corners, it would look passable.
