VIN Fender Tag Build Sheet Decoding – MyMopar
I agree, not hard for guys to do their own research.....

Where would you find the (2) digit info to decode? Seems most on the MyMopar link was for (3) digits. I enjoy trying to decode these VINs and fender tags when I have time but this one was more tricky than I've experienced in the last few times of doing it. And far less successful.

The two digit codes are usually a short-form code derived from the broadcast sheet. As above the "V" is the section of the broadcast,so the v is not part of the code. So (V)6W indicates which stripe (6) and color(W, white).
I learned this stuff from Eisenshencks book, mentioned above.
It's almost essential to know which assembly plant built the car, cause fender tag formats are different for all three (that built b-bodies).

It's 6W. Side stripes (V) 6* are a required code on 69 GTX tags from LR. The stripe was white or red.

1F is vinel top green

That would be the thin stripe running above the blackout at the bottom of the car. Standard on a GTX. There is a code for the stripe delete. (68)

build sheet indicates a re defrost car...as well ..just sharing thank you
