r=belvedere.m=med price.23=hardtop.So,yes thats a runner.

Yes, she's a real Bird. :icon_thumleft:

... a real NICE bird! :headbang:

Check your radiator support and trunk lip to see if those #s match the VIN# on the dash. I have seen more and more cars that those #s don't match. If they match your golden.

It's not that easy. If you're talking serious money, do yourself a favor to hire a professional who knows what to look for & how to do it.Hmm.. I see from another post, you already bought the car. Kinda late to wonder if it's the real deal now, ain't it ? ( al least from your pics, it looks like an awesome car !)

Beautiful car. Well dressed. Were the rocker moldings available?

very sharpe,you know what cam you are running?

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I was told the 383 was rebuilt to stock specs but to me that cam sounds a little healthier than stock?

Well I'm sure the receipts will have the cam and its model number on it for easy identification.

69beepbeep69, that really is a gorgeous car!Is it an auto or stick? No matter, I know you are enjoying that ride.

As stated, need to verify the body VIN. A dash can be removed and installed in a Belvedere or Sat. If rad support and rear of body has been replaced with AMD metal (because of extensive rust, or?) then it's anyone's guess and I would not pay real RR money. At that point just price it as the sum of the parts and perhaps some labor. Nothing wrong with a patched up car if it's done right but it should never bring the same money as an unmolested one.

There are three things that I know of to look for. As stated earlier, check the vin plate on the dash. See if the rivets are the correct rosette style rivets. Look good? Good. Now look at the radiator core support. After that there is a 3rd place to possibly look and that is on the trunk weather strip rail. Depends if the weather stripping is glued down or not (on mine it was not) I was able to find the vin number (last several digits, same as the core support) on the rail about a 1/3rd of the way down from the hinge. That being said, I'm not a expert but these are the things I've learned to look for. However if, as stated earlier, the dash was subbed and there has been major sheet metal work, it can be difficult to be 100% sure.

Hope this will help, As you can see this is where you will find the body #'s for #'s matching.
