For my 69 Super Bee, which gas cap is correct? Vented or non-vented cap? My current gas cap looks to be the original one and leaks like a sieve. Every time I fill up with gas, the gas cap is soaked with gas. So do I just need a new gas cap, and if so, a vented cap or non-vented? Seems all the parts warehouses list a non-vented cap for the 69 Super Bee.

Is a non-vented cap what I need for my 69 Super Bee please?

The tank is vented so i would think a non vented cap.Not positive but thats my thought.

I think it should be a vented cap...refresh my memory, where is the filler neck? I don't remember where you put gas in that car...rear quarter or behind license plate? If it's in the side quarter panel, it should be vented style

Its behind the tag. Should be non vented. Whats the rubber seal on the inside look like? Non existant? Dry rotted to hell?

The gas filler is under the rear bumper, and the cap inside seal is pretty nonexistant. Should it be a thick rubber gasket? Just based on all the restoration catalogs showing a non-vented cap for a 69 Coronet makes me think it should be non-vented, but I want to hear what the car guys think.

That rubber seal needs to be intact and soft enough to seal to the filler neck. Otherwise it will leak. And leak alot when you take off and all the gas sloshes to the back.

Oh yea, it leaks alot, and the gas smell is strong. Every time I fuel up, the gas cap is soaked with gas.
