1969 Super Bee Torq Thrust Wheel fitment

I have a 69 and found pictures of this car on a google search. I really like the way the rear wheels/tires fit on this car and I would like to do something just like it for mine. To me, they look like a 15x8 or 15x8.5. The tire is a 275/60/15. Do any of you have these on your Coronets or Super Bees? If so, could you please help me out with what backspacing to use?

According to American Racing's website, it appears that the 15x8.5 has a 3.77" backspace and the 15x8 has a 4.5". Judging by the deep dish on the wheel in the photo I've attached I'm thinking it has the 8.5" wheels on it?

I think the a$$ sits up too high. 2 or 3 inches. The stance does not look right. Just my opinion, of course.

That car may have air lift shocks. All I’m concerned with is the wheels themselves. Specially the rear ones. If anyone has a 15x8.5 with the 3.75 backspacing on a 68-69 coronet I would like your feedback!

First, be careful which series of torque thrust you are looking at. They have one piece and two piece versions.
I don't have a Bee, but i have a 69 rr, which has a tighter wheelwell opening. I would 100% get as much backspace as I could. More tire can be fitted , it will look better, (in my opinion). The most tire I had on my runner was a 28/10.5 slick (equivalent of a 295/55x15) on a 8.5x15 with 4 7/8 bs. Move that tire an inch closer to the fender and it would never fit.
Almost everyone here says a 275 on an 8/8.5 with 4.5 bs fits best. I agree.

I think you are probably correct. The ones shown here might be the 8.5's with the 3.77 backspace.
Looking closer and the fact that they are shown with a 275 tire mounted that tire really looks spread out quit a bit they could be the 10" wide wheels shown in those pictures.
