Through further research in books that I have, it seems as though all 4V 383's in 70 came with this distributor, 3438233. Someone with a parts book can maybe determine whether all 383 4V engines had the HP vacuum advance.

Most non a bodies had the e advance. IPB spells it out the best. Hate them things, can be NOS and fail on one side or the other, or they came on the car but not wired for them WTF?
