For sale is my 1970 Barracuda. I'm asking 30k. Car is in Eagle River Wis.
Where too start....After reviewing all my receipts, I realized I have well over 40k into this project. I have over 25k in parts alone. I saved this car and turned it into a very dependable, IMG_20140708_191524222_HDR.jpgIMG_20140810_113621254_HDR.jpg reliable driver capable of going anywhere. I just returned from Colorado.
The following are new, Engine (408 stroker built by ATK and sold through classic ind.), Radiator (Griffin), every inch of witing, all new gauge package and dash (autometer) polished stainless column (flaming river with tilt) Mopar tuff steering wheel, alternator, power steering pump, K&N air filter/cleaner, Hotchkis total vehicle suspension, PST front end kit, 4 wheel power disc brakes drilled and slotted, brake lines, dash, console, shifter, seat covers, glove box, classic air heater/AC, windshield, battery relocation kit, door hardware, door panels, some weatherstripping, Mirrors, rear view mirror. Headers and complete x pipe exhaust with flowmasters.
No leaks and all the lights gauges and switches work. Ring and pinion are 2.73:1 so freeway driving is a breeze. Car gets really happy at around 67 mph and up. At 80 mph, engine turns 2900.
Originally born with a 318 and a 904. I bought it with a ('72) 340 block and the current 727. The 340 had a rear main seal leak. 727 feels great and I have had no issues with it.
I built the car to be a road machine. The 408 has 466 hp, so if you want to rip the tires off it, simply go back to a 3.91 gear and have at it.
Paint makes it a 15 footer. I like it because I drive it anywhere and don't worry about the paint. I have about 8000 miles on it since March. I realize I'll never get all my money out of the car so I'm letting it go for a significantly less than I have in it.
I realize it has a black engine bay. Spare me the lecture...LOL I wasn't going to try to match the current paint. Also new wheels and tires...I knew I'd forget something.
I'm eyeing up one of those Hellcats

Daryn
P.S. I can easily deliver the car within a reasonable distance. I will be towing it back to Fla in the late fall if I still have it.
