The Ghost

Well How are you TallHair? Thx for the Welcome! Ok The first car that we worked on was a 79' Elcamino. Was a fun project at first, the car was titled a 86' ! when I was ordering all the replacement parts for the car, I was ordering for an 86'. It wound up Being a 1979'..!!Well some parts did still work but I had a lot of returns and exchanges to do..That part really sucked. We did a Mod restore, on frame, the body work was already done you could say.. The Cars suspension and everything else was either replaced or rebuilt on the underside..We POR15 every part of the frame after we had sand blasted the under carriage.. The Motor was a Crate 383 stroker , chromed out and everything mounted to it as well.. Was ordered through Summit, Dyno Tested and the HP I believe came in around 428hp..The Tranny was put in,Just a 400 Turbo w/ shift kit and last was the Rearend rebuilt..I had the 3.73 put in..Great out of the hole but it whines constantly at any RPM ..Now I picked up This 1970 Coronet R/T 440..I have a few pics ill post but not much.. This car is gonna take a lot of love ill say!! It will be 1 hell of a car when complete. It's a number matching car, I have the original broadcast sheet anyways..I have already sent in for Galen to do his magic on the car's paperwork..Hopefully 2013-08-14 11.26.39.jpg2013-08-14 11.27.10.jpg2013-08-14 11.27.43.jpg with some knowledge and some help from other owners, we will be able to complete this project! Thx Larry

hi and welcome to the site ,good to see another Ohio member looks like a nice project ,where in Ohio did you find that one

Welcome, nice R/T, looking forward to progress updates.

Nice Car and a great base to start from! Those Rallye's and rubber look sweet so there's one thing you don't have to worry about!

Thx much! Its gonna take quite a bit to get it done but we had talked about a flip on this one..not sure, with it being a #s car it will be a good investment, and will only grow as far as value goes.. We will see, alot of work until that needs to be decided..!

Howdy snake eyes..I live in trumbull county, where I actually found the car too!

Welcome aboard. If for some reason you decide(cough, cough) not to reuse those quarter panel scoops then I may be interested in taking them off your hands. Keep us posted on your project.
