1970 Coronet Wagon - "Queen Bee"

What add a leafs did you use? I need a set for my Wagon.
I have easy access to throw away toyota tacoma leaf springs often new add a leafs that were not needed. What makes a nice ride and good articulation is lots of thin leafs. So i stole a few old man emu and deavers. Cut to size, Then drill for the right center pin location and drill holes for plastic sliders on the ends. Unfortunately I feel i need to order one custom leaf as our springs are really long and mine look under supported on the rearmost section of the leaf pack.

This will need to do for now but i dont like it.

What are you using to cut spring steel?

Any drill with good bits and fluid cuts through nicely. Then a thin cut off wheel. I suspect its not good for the heat of the spring but have never seen it crack or fail.

I bought my new XHD +2.5" units, for my wagon, from General Spring in Kansas. Great price and showed up in a week. They are on now but I'm not done with the car.

I picked up an inch in height, no surprise, over the previously re-arched old ones. Putting them side by side was the same. I hope to be done this week on the front end and get it aligned. I'm excited to see how it turns out with all of the upgrades. SFC's already made an improvement. Did those before starting on the back end.

I present you - The max wedge RV 440.

Sometime next week I get to pick up my machined short block pieces to replace the leaker/oil eater 440 thats in the wagon now. As I make more dough, will gather parts up so I can assemble it.
