What’s the trick to removing the glove box knob from the lock mechanism?

Some have a tiny hole to insert a paper clip or something similar to release.
 
It’s a super butt pain but the procedure is in the fsm. I can’t recall it off the top of my head but there is a small tab that is hard to access that you push down. It has to be either cocked or uncocked to come out properly but again, the fsm explains it.
 
RC can't you just use your brain power? I mean your name is Richard cranium?
 
That lock is for later models with no key, but I found a video that explained how to take out a lock that has a key, but when I tried it, this happened.

I did see the video indicated he was working on a ‘73. I didn’t know there was a key/no-key difference here, in particular when they appear nearly identical.
