1970 GTX tail light bezels

Is the rear tail light bezel is all blacked out except the chrome trim. Or from the chrome trim to the red lenses , the fins , is that part left argent and the rest blacked out with special paint . Thanks

Yes it looks like they are supposed to be silver that helps . Thank you

Tail-light inserts are silver argent paint, rims/edges are chrome, and the black is (on my car) PPG matted black.

Silver Argent, Chrome surrounds (chrome from factory on entire bezel), black around bezel and contained within the bounds of the inner trim set.

Photos taken last year - car now with a new owner. Don't be overly critical of that paint...it is 20 years old now.

hmm I need a set of the split tail light bezels so in the meantime I’m using Belvedere tail lights on my satellite hmm I am liking them though

Just a couple suggestions if your looking at re-chroming your GTX bezels....
1) first sit down for the quote..LOL..
2) Instead of having the original chrome plated pot metal bezels stripped which usually causes them to blow apart find a set of painted Satellite/Roadrunner bezels & have them chromed...

So the repros at 500 are a fair deal ?

I didn't know they are reproducing them.... My buddy had his bezels re-plated probably fifteen years ago, insisted on re-plating his originals (which was a huge mistake) & it cost him $600.00 back then so yeah if the repo's are decent buy them...

Yeah I’ve seen them on a few sites I’m just contemplating on pulling the order since I also need the gtx grill lolz
