my 70 GTX has the rally dash but is not woodgrain. door panells are tho. Vin on dash, fender tag, door sticker, and engine block all have the same no. were some sent out with the black dash? my research says all dashs on those cars were woodgrain. vin no. starts off RS. and fender tag i coded out matches what is on the car, kind of curious.

Never say never I suppose. Is it 100% black side to side, no wood grain at all on the dash?

Perhaps someone swapped out the cluster, then put in the rest of the matching trim

I believe it was an option, my 70 GTX build sheet shows it marked with a “4” in group J

Still thinking/indicating 54 for wood grain but will check my build sheet as well

yes it is black all the way across. not knowing its history makes it puzling
