1970 Super Bee Painted Roof Option

Hello All,

I have a 1970 Super Bee "V" code FJ5 car with the TX9 black painted roof option. I just bought the project car recently and I have a couple of questions.

1. Is the painted roof a gloss sheen? I believe so although I have never seen one.

2. It has the vinyl top trim piece in the rear to break between the FJ5 and the TX9. There was a little metal work on the rear window gutter on both sides. I know common problem. But it removed the last hole for the trim piece clip and the shop that installed the new metal didn't re-drill it. I am using the trim piece as a guide but would like to know if anyone has the specific measurements for the hole closest to the rear window.

Congrats! It's gloss, because the factory used the standard exterior paints for the roof - TX9 in your case.

I have tried somewhat. That is a good pick I wish I could see that corner a little better. That is a cool gator grain top!
