1970 Super Sketchy

It will be WAY better to find all the problems now and fix them now instead of having to chase issues the entire time you have the car. This way when you’re done you can enjoy it and know it’s a good car. Do exactly as RT68440 did or very similar, make sure the car is squared and you basically have a jig to help place your replacement parts in the correct place and orientation. It’s a lot of work but it’s not overly difficult if you proceed in a methodical way. As he mentioned, if you can find clean original parts your life will be easier, aftermarket will work but it will more than likely be more work. I’ve never used aftermarket rails so my opinion is based on other installed aftermarket parts and my desire to keep my cars OEM

So obviously I’m disappointed to find the frame damage and to be honest I’m more upset with myself. I do know cars, maybe not these Mopars but a blind man could see it’s the frame and it’s been buggered.
Let’s turn that frown upside down cause… today I get home from work (putting an addition on a little house) and it was +90deg and the humidity was deep rainforest.. I have a rule with the guys NO ENERGY DRINKS AND NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SAY “ITS HOT TODAY”
Painting the picture that I’m beat and as I pull up to the house I see this huge box… like a TV box and I think “I didn’t order Amazon”… then it hits me… the Super Bee’s grills..!! I mentioned I joined the forum the night before I bought the car and one of my first posts mentioned I needed the grills.

71RRHI DM’d me and said he had a used set put away and … I figured he was trying to sell… he says I don’t need them so I’ll send them to you.. I tip toed around DM’ing ea other (I’m new to the forum so I don’t know who is a scam or what) and he just says “FOR FREE.. “
Of course I think he’s full of it then I look up his account and see he’s in Hawaii..!!!! To be nice I said I’ll pay shipping (still thinking it’s a scam but playing along) and he says “no it’s ok I’ll send them out as soon as I find them”… Couple days later I get a DM with a tracking number (from Hawaii)

Anyone reading this ever get the chance to meet Dave aka 71RRHI he’s a class act.
I’m not gonna get too weird but one grill is missing like 1 little piece and he’s said they were broken but might hold me over. I mean this.. I don’t think I want perfect ones.. I want when someone says “Oh wow, look your grill is missing a piece…”. I’ll fire off about how I got them.. better then perfect.

Thank you again 71RRHI
Hope to repay a member in need and have him as happy as I am tonight.

Dog wasn’t as happy, no toys for him.. He did get to eat some of the box..
