Hi I have a simple question is there anyone out there that knows how to tighten up. Or modify 1971 to 1972 Dodge Charger hood hinges to wear the hood closes properly every time and doesn't rub against the fender? Seems like all these Chargers like to collapse one hinge at a time and not close properly. Or if anyone has a link to brand new hinges that are very solid and stout please post. Thanks in advance

1. If your hood rubs against the fender, then it needs to be adjusted, which means unbolt it, align & re-attach. Side-to-side would be adjusted where the hinge bolts to the inner fender. You may need to add some alignment shims.
2. It sounds like your hood spring on one side is weaker than the other one. Also, watch very carefully for bends/creases on top of the hood near the hinge area. If the hinges are not repaired, it could bend & permanently damage the hood itself.

Thank you. What about brand new hinges?
