I know where the hole is for the hose(s) to go on a non-a/c car but where should I make a whole on my firewall?

Mine is a 72 that did not come with the Ramcharger setup but did come with A/C, here is my firewall.

Any suggestions would be helpful, want to do this before I drop the engine in, thanks.

I'm going to assume by your picture you eliminated the A/C evaporator so why not near there?

Here is where I put them through on my 72 Satellite. I will be using the A/C too. I drilled the hole with the box in place. It was a PITA!

Thanks, 72RoadrunnerGTX, much appreciated, I had joined Road Runner Nest a few years ago to follow your build. You did a great job with your car.
Think I will be doing some drilling tomorrow. :)

I don't recall exactly, but it's a tight fit right between the cowl and the A/C box. I did remove the glove box to check progress. If doing it again I would use a spring loaded center punch and feel for the dimple above the box to make sure the placement is good. Then follow with a pilot hole, then use a unibit so you can 'fudge' the hole a little bit of you need to. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Thanks! Yesterday I mapped everything out but I decided to wait until I have time to remove the heater box. I just can't reach where I need to with the box there. My hat's off to you for being able to do it without removing the box!
