Well, after 5+ years of working on it (spending a stupid amount of time and money), I got the entire grille made. it came out pretty good, I have to admit. Especially pleased with the center piece. I have made five full sets and making more.

Looks great. They should have had that grill in 71 too.

I think that originally, they were going to, however the redesign from 70 to 71 went over budget and they were looking to cut a corner or two, hence the grille being the way it was and all three 71 models having the same except the badge. However, you can fit the 72 Grille into 71, just need the brackets.
