Has anyone tried the 71 through 74 Charger wheel opening molding on a 73 through 74 satellite / Roadrunner? I know there is a body line about 6 in up on the charger but I was thinking that the inside flange could get a small slice to straighten out the sharp bend on the charger molding to fit the Contour of the satellite/ Roadrunner. I am currently getting rid of some Rust around the wheel openings and want to make sure to get the molding so I can test it as I go to make sure the Contour is correct.

Totally different.

Satellite body has straight across at the top wheel well openings.

Charger is nearly perfectly round.

Likely mess up the moldings real bad trying to make them fit.

just doing a visual I hadn't noticed the long top of the satellite molding. I am looking at the 71/72 satellite. As a visual it looks pretty stinking close but maybe a little bit longer due to the added fender flare due to the body line that wraps the wheel opening. I know that finding i-73.74 molding will more than likely never happen. If I can at least find something close I can probably take it to local bumper and stainless shop for some fine tuning. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks B.

I own a 71 RR and a 73 RR. The WOMs are not at all similar. The 71 has screws that secure it to the fender lip. The 73 leaves the fender lip exposed and is attached on the outside of the fender. Do an image search and you will see what I mean.
