So, I have figured out what's the best way to restore the argent silver lens outline that is on the lenses of many mopars but especially 1973 and 1974 Dodge Charger tail light lenses. So I tried to restore an (old!) spare lens I had laying around and gave it a try.
Obviously a marker pen is the best and easiest way to do it. I did it with an acrylic pen. I bought a couple of pens of different brands. That was not the plan but because some pens were not capable to do the job. I started with Molotow 227 Metallic Silver but this failed miserably because this color does NOT dry on any surface. You can just wipe it off no matter the duration of the drying period. Strange because I had excellent results using their liquid chrome pens.
Long story short: the best pen to use is: Limitless marker color M08 from Panduro. I used a 2.5 mm pen but a 4 mm pen would be better. I this instance I did not use any plastic primer. It came out very very nice.
