Just bought a 65 Coronet 500. Running car with 318 poly,727. I want to do 2 upgrades when we swap in the BB. First, do the electronic voltage regulator, and second the electronic ignition. My donor car already has both, so does anybody have a diagram to use all the stock components instead of the kit from MP ? Never done the regulator switch, but surely someone has. Thanks for any/all help. Don.

I plan on doing the same thing to my cars. MoPar Action mag had a great article about swapping to a dual field alternator http://www.moparaction.com/Next/history/oct2008.html I have the mag but don't have a way to get the schematic on the site.

Basically all you do is replace the two separate wires for the relay style regulator with the single triangular plug (noting the I and F terminals) and adding a wire from the second blue field terminal to the 12V side of the ballast, or the I terminal.

Here's something for the 5 pin electronic ignition box -

There is an electric regulator that has the same hookup as the mechanical one. It's a direct swap. I've posted pics and part numbers in here before......

somewhere......

DON'T use that blue P.O.S.

Voltage regulator

Would that be an AC/Delco product ? I think I`ve seen that before. Seems like a 6000 or so part#. Edit! Found the part# AC/Delco C600M. Thanks for the help, found post referred to by 69RR. Don.
