Engine Fire, Not Charging

i didn't put 12 volts to FLD at the alternator, i just measured it at 3.5 volts.
the battery wire at the alternator was 11.5 ish, the same as the batt wire at the VR

What was the FLD Voltage when you jumped the regulator?
Should be close to your 11.5 then

i didnt look at that, when i jumped the VR i just loooked at battery voltage at the battery terminals, which didnt go up
