It is not just fast food

About a month ago we had a loaf of sliced bread from the grocery store that was half gone and sitting on the kitchen counter
Coming up on the 2 week mark when you think you should see some green colour start to appear but nothing happened
Would give it the sniff test and have a good look at it before I made my lunch with it but was still good
For one reason or another it was still there after about a month and still looked the same as the day we bought it

I have been a trucker hauling food products for 50+ years.

Virtually every product I put in my trailer has been tested and retested for quality and freshness multiple times.

When I haul out of the fields during harvest if the processor finds one green bean in a trailer load of carrots the whole load is rejected and dumped.

McDonalds has labs that test every load of fresh beef before it is allowed to be unloaded. I used to sit at their docks for hours until the test results came back and only then would they unload my trailer.

Yes mistakes are made but these anti food memes and stories are mostly just lies.

Now back to my soy burger and tofu fries...

It’s hard not to get sucked into going to a fast food place because most taste so good. But…..hang tough Only go when you practically have to. Like when you’re traveling and are in a hurry.

Unless you get it pure black they add high fructose corn syrup to it in some way. Creamer, sweetener, "flavoring" whatever. They put that crap in the bread, in the meat, in everything.

It will have corn syrup in the "muffin" and ultra processed flour to make it.
Hard to mess up eggs though.
