If you're looking to do something other than test and tuning NENDRA (North East Nostalgia drag Racing Association) will be racing in 2013 at Lebanon Valley,NY and Island Dragway in Great Meadows NJ.
While still trying to keep the "nostalgia" look NENDRA is opening up their rules to allow modern hood scoops, transbrakes, big slicks. No delay boxes.
As long as your car is Detroit built- Mopar, Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, oldsmobile, Pontiac, etc. from 1961-1973 and has a stock looking interior (not gutted) you are welcome to join the group.
We will be having our 1st meeting the Sunday after the Superbowl- Sunday Feb 10, 2013. Great group of competitive racers who want to have fun throughout the spring thru fall. Usually 12-15 races per year.
PM me here for more details.

That looks like a fun series & a fun batch of cars, with a fun batch of guys/gals too, I look forward to some photos & videos from next years racing NEDRA season, I wish we had something like that, closer to where I'm at... Good Luck & go kick some butt...

Until NENDRA was started in 2008 we had only test and tune or race Sunday and get beat up by weekly points racers.
So get out there and start your own organization...

When I started NENDRA back in 08, like Action said, all there was up in our area was T N T.
We got a bunch of Nostalgia racers together and I formed this Association.
Let me tell you, it made good racers, great racers.
So now when we go to different tracks all over the country, We hold our own and win.
ActionAnge is on a roll this year with back to back wins.
Next year should be awesome as we are getting alot of new guys joining our facebook account NENDRA(North East Nostalgia Drasg Racing Association) who want to join next year due to opening up the rules so alot of guys can come out and race.

I helped to start a drag racing assn., in the late 80's & 90's... California Outlaw Pro Stock Assn., allot of work for very little return or help, it wasn't worth the pain in the ***, I had to do everything, even at the tracks, never got to do my own thing much,my car & team suffered & only got about 1/16th of the total proceeds, with between 8-16 cars, 24 cars/members at one time, working 20+hrs a week minimum, plus my Construction Company & traveling for racing all over the place, always calling people, doing radio advert. spots, doing print advertisements, meeting with track managers or other Assn. members & organizing Match Races &/or getting track bookings, always on the phone never had any piece of mind, to line everyone elses pockets... We had monthly Assn.meetings it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to show up, I did all the work had very little time to work on my own car &/or my partners other car, I busted my *** & everyone else made out on my hard work, without doing ****, I'm probably not going to do that again anytime soon, it's too much of a PITA & nobody ever appreciates what your doing, to get them bookings & match races, I equate it to like running Romper Room with a bunch of spoiled brats, that never agreed on anything.... Now, I need some cheese with my WHINE now...LOL... WAAAAH

I hate bracket racing, I've always ran Comp Eliminator, Super Eliminator, Top Gas, then latter Top Sportsman, Nostalgia Races & Door Slammer Racing {prior to the Pro Mod era} & loved match racing my 23 T Altered w/a Don Torte F/C chassis with a 23 Ford T Fiberglasstrends body & numerous different engine combos, blown &/or Injected BBC & Chryslers or allot heads up Grudge Racing stuff at NDRA SCTA or Gary Medders Nostalgia races, I only did a little bracket racing in H.S. & very short period afterwords, never liked it much... Match racing or Heads Up racing was my passion... I hated the Throttle stops & Delay Box's, a bunch of electronics & air shifters ****, having an 7-8 second car & slowing it down to run some class #'s type racing, not my thing... Hell my Gramma could do that from the stands, with a damn remote control...LOL... Sorry to all you bracket racers... Rant over

With the time you just spent RANTING you could've started an organization...LOL

I mean facebook is great for finding an ex girlfriend, but professional organizations have websites. I'm looking forward to seeing more about NENDRA on their website....
