Dang! I miss Fox Sports already. Just my opinion, but that was some of the worst race coverage I've see for quite awhile. NBC got the opening laps OK, but then it seemed like it was just a few hours worth of commercials interrupted by occasional racing. There were times they didn't even show five laps of race coverage between commercial breaks. They didn't even cut back to full coverage when Smoke crashed in the closing laps.
One thing for sure after this wreckfest, the standings sure changed.
Congratulations to 'memike' (FABO) for being the only player to correctly pick the race winner, #2 Brad Keselowski, and earning -5 bonus points. 'memike' moved into the game lead and also had the weekly low net score of -2.5.
Congrats also to '73AbodEE' (FABO), 'fishmens68 Sr' (FABO) and 'moparfan68' (FABO) who correctly picked the race runner-up, #18 Kyle Busch. Each earned -3 bonus points.

This was the third week in a row that 'stroked340' didn't post any race picks. Per the game rules he's lost his ride sponsor and is parked for the remainder of the 2016 NASCAR season. I hope he returns to the game next year.

Hey all, we have a bonus point event coming up Wednesday, July 20!
Just like the past couple of years, we're going to do the NASCAR Truck Series race on the dirt at Eldora. It proved to be very popular each year so we're going to do it again in 2016. It's got a new name this year: the "Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby". Turns out that major league baseball didn't think much of the previous name, the "Mudsummer Classic", since the MLB All-Star game is known as the "Mid-Summer Classic".

Your driver picks must be posted to the game thread before television coverage starts with qualifying at 5:15PM EDT (2:15PM PDT) on Fox Sports 1.
The first qualifying heat race coverage starts at 7:00 PM EDT (4:00PM PDT.
The feature race television coverage starts at 9:00PM EDT (6:00PM PDT).

The rules are the same as last year:
Since this is a dirt-track format with multiple heat races and, I believe since I haven't seen a posted format this year, a "last chance" race before the 150-lap main event, there are multiple chances for Bonus Points:
* Pick two (2) drivers from those entered for the Mudsummer Classic
* Pick up -2 Bonus Points if one of your driver picks wins either a heat race or the "last chance" race
* Pick up -1 Bonus Point if one of your driver picks finishes 2nd in a heat race or the "last chance" race
* Pick up -1 Bonus Point if one of your driver picks is leading at the end of either of the first two segments of the 150-lap main event. The 150-lap main event will be run in three segments: 40 laps, 50 laps, 60 laps
* If either of your driver picks win the last 60-lap segment, you'll get -5 bonus points, finish 2nd and get -3 bonus points. Finish 3rd or worse, no bonus points for the last 60-lap segment of the main event.

Study up and make your driver picks. Should be wild!

Your driver picks must be posted to the game thread before the first qualifying race.

Again, this is a bonus point event. There is no penalty if you decide to sit this one out.

But before that we have a bonus event, the Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby, scheduled for Wednesday, July 20. This is the annual Craftsman Truck Series race on the dirt track at Eldora - always a fun event.
All of the details are in Post #450 so take a look, make your picks, and hopefully earn some bonus points! As always, no penalty if you decide not to participate in this event.

Just read that Jeff Gordon will be driving the #88 at both Indianapolis next weekend and Pocono the weekend after.
