2025 Baseball World Series

The more games they play the more money the teams get to pay the players. It all depends on the gate revenue too. It's a pretty complex formula and if it goes 7 the winners get big bucks.

39000 seats! We're obviously not in poverty up here! Lol

Toronto seats for hockey are the most expensive in the NHL.
That's where Dodgers stadium makes their money with 56000 seats. Largest stadium in baseball.

Last year the Dodgers players made a little over $477,000 each as winners. That 57K rookie is going to be well paid if they win it all.

... and with (regular season) announced crowds of 48000 plus... with 20 or 25 thousand empty seats. They count season seat sales, even if humans don't show up.

The old Cleveland stadium used to seat well over 70,000. It was a bad look with 7000 in attendance. They knocked it down.
After the Dodgers moved to LA, but before Dodger Stadium was built, they played in the LA Coliseum. It could seat 90,000 plus for baseball. Dodgers won a WS while playing there in 1959.
I bet $11 would get you four seats there during the regular season. Times have changed.

We can now go out for beer and pizza and watch the game with a bunch of other beer and pizza folks. Probably noisy folks.

Gotta watch the World Series, well maybe anyway
if nothing better is on like Drag racing :poke:

I hate most anything MLB now,
& also I usually hate almost all things LA too (SF also)
but was a big LA Dodgers (NL) since I met Don Drysdale,
at like 8 y/o, he signed my catchers met, I was hooked,
I played some sort of baseball or Softball for 25+ years after that
& attended Oakland A's, grew up around them, in the American League
I had 4 season tickets from 1977-97 just behind the dugout, 1st base line
1st row about even with 1st base 4 seats & my dad had them same 4 seats,
for some like 9 years prior, or since they came to Oakland in 1968 (?)
I was a fan for decades,
Now baseball is no different the NBA (literally Nothing But Ass--les)
sorry

or the NFL,
like some claim it to be, it's a faction of the people that are assh--es thou...
still love the game

I still love the game of American football, I still sort of like baseball too
I still love the Raiders even after moving several times, no matter their record,
"sickness"... I just don't care about the others,
I won't pay to see a MLB game I can see for free on TV, not now
(I won't probably watch even)
but the NCAA (my Oregon Ducks, class of 81' baby) I like them much more,
then the whinny millionaires/pros, in all sports, including track & field...

Go Dodgers, win America's Game,
it's like USA is baseball, apple pie & hotdogs :poke:
all tied up 3-3, after last night

it won't affect my life one iota, either way
