That extra long hood was John Delorean's idea when he was the GM of Pontiac. He had all the other hoods in the industry measured and made sure the Grand Prix for '69 was the longest by 1/4".Always liked the early GP's - I drove a black '63 with tri-power (got my license in it despite a throttle hesitation problem that we resolved by later converting to mechanical). I laid the tester back in his seat when I had hit the gas too much. Later I had a '70 GP for a while btw my '67 GTO and '70 Cuda. Felt like I was sitting a mile behind the front end. Nice look at this '64, yeah a close up of the engine and the interior would cap off this clip more.
