I plan to install air grabber setup on my 69 Roadrunner so I swapped out my 2 speed wiper motor for a 3 speed unit. Bought new wiring harness under hood so everything plugs in as it should. I was told that if I bought the correct 3 speed wiper switch that it would plug right into my existing wiring. Plugs are not the same. Did someone sell me the wrong part or did I get incorrect information as to the interchangability? Is there some sort of adapter or do I just have the wrong switch?

Did you change out the crank arm? It's different than the two speed.

yes, I did change that. that was a pretty hard item to find. I am just confused about the wiring.

I would contact passionformopar on this site. Kim is an expert in this area and can give you any info you need.

Jim,
I did the swap on my bee it's been a while but I don't remember having a problem with the harness plugging in to the 3 speed switch.

I agree with calling Kim, but I heard the same thing about the wiring as you.

wiring harness should be the same, i converted mine to a 3 speed and the switch plugged right in. as i recall the back of the switch is different though and used different parts of the connector than the 2 speed.

did you use all the terminals on the back of the switch?

did you use all the terminals on the back of the switch?

As I recall something looked funny with it, thinking there was terminals on the connector that were not used. May have been one on the switch.

Thanks everyone. I think I have it figured out

Well do tell, I have a cars one with a 2 speed and one a 3 speed, trying to figure out which one goes in the "final solution"

Thanks everyone. I think I have it figured out

if you switch the motor, you definitely have to switch the crank arm or the wiper will not park correctly. What I found with the wiring is that the wiring is there for the 3 speed switch. I plugged in what I think are the correct terminals. I do not have power to the car yet so I do not know yet if it is wired correctly, but hoping to do so within the next couple of weeks.

OK, so the wiring should be there for a 3-speed motor.

I wonder if the the transmission linkage is the same between a 2-speed and 3-speed
