Anyone done a 2bbl to 4bbl swap on a 318? Of course you have... My question is what parts will I need to buy to make the carb work and what can I reuse from the original setup?

As always pictures are appreciated.

I've got the edelbrock performer manifold (NOT RPM or airgap, plain ol' performer) and a 1405 (manual choke) 4bbl. It all bolts right on, but requires the use of a special bracket for the throttle cable (part 1481 I believe), and will require some monkey-ing with the throttle cable, kickdown linkage, and return spring set-up. If you have the cash, there are replacement throttle/kickdown setups that you can buy.

I haven't gotten mine just right yet, but I think the only additional part I will have to come up with is a different throttle cable. I understand that the 2bbl and 4bbl cables are different. As it is right now, my cable is not a proper fit, and will both not allow WOT, and not allow full closure. The kickdown looks like it will work just fine with a little rearranging and the addition of a bolt/nut to adjust where the carb pin actually engages the link.

Which throttle return spring bracket did you use? The one that uses 1 intake bolt or 2?
