383 pickup tube

i need to buy a oil pickup tube for my 69 383 HP engine , with the stock oil pan . summit has one but not sure i’m picking the correct one . is this correct for my pan ? # sum - G3509

i just read the fine print for there pan only ! anybody know if summit has a correct oil tube for the stock pan ? i have a few other things to get from them so it be convenient to get the tube also …

They have a pick-up that looks like the factory pick-up for the 402 pan.

i’m not sure on the part number on my pan , looking at the pic it don’t look like 402 more like _ 71 , i’m changing the pan as it was in a r
truck before i got it , not 100% sure this is correct pan in pic but that’s what i’m told ….i’m not at shop now i’ll verify number later …

That pan uses a specific pick up, that is not the same one as the 402 pan uses, although it is similar.
That pan is deeper than the 402 pan.

The style you have pictured, I have sheared off at the base extremely easily before while installing. Also that style can block flow if too close to the bottom of the pan. Here is a factory style that will work with several pans including a 971.
