hi all, I'm leaking oil from a head gasket , not a lot but it seeps. Also from the cross bolted main cap bolts . Is it ok to remove these bolts and seal them? What have you found to be the best method to deal with the leak. What are your suggestions for the best head gasket to use on a stock 66 street hemi.
thanks

Remove the cross bolts and clean everything as best you can. I would probably use a small amount of ultra black on the shank of the bolt.

Not sure on what gaskets to use. I would try to match what’s in it now, thickness. Use the copper spray when they go back together.

A very small amount of silicone smeared around the oil drainback holes (lower corners) on the head gaskets will seal it up if you're seeing oil come from that area.
