426 HEMI

Thanks for that video link. Wow things keep moving forward but the "Hemi" stays with us.

The machines in the clip remind me of a Boeing parts machining plant in Portland that I have worked in many times.--(Installing and aligning those kind of machines).

Dedicated to uncle Joe {Pisano} may he RIP
Venolia, Childs & Albert, JP1 etc tec. etc.

without his help many would never have been able to race

Fabulous Floppers F/C History

Winged Express AA/FA

This all comes from a spark of an idea that Me and a good friend had in about 1975. We both were into bikes and mopars.
I drew up sketches of a 392 hemi bike at that time that were way to long to be practical. (Bob wanted power steering-geez?)
I'm an industrial/construction millwright by career and self taught as to fabricating stuff.

For me this is much like what you do. It is (in my case) mechanical art.

I started with the engine and solved one basic problem after another to keep it as short as possiable and drivable.

For example I had to raise the trans. 5" with an offset drive in the bellhousing area so the final drive would be in a proper line with the back tire.----It's a long story of problem solving and that has been the fun for me so far.

Work still to be done.

It's Stunning Man, i love the swing arm. Hell of a work in process Man.
Yep.....the Journey is the Adventure.
My New Lady Friend will Wow on this. She is an avid rider, with 3 Harleys. Yeah, this will more than raise Her Eyebrows.
What kind of lean angle do You figure to have?

The lean angle is a good question. At this point without kick stand or crash bars this would lean further than my stock 97 honda valkyrie.
However this in not a canyon carver. Nor is it a dragster. It is at least a crusier but formost it is for the fun of play in making a vision happen.

As thought, Rain gave a Gasp on Your Art Boss, She is stunned...She did raise curiosity of heat....it would be a Drop Dead Highlight to Any Cruise Night & Car Hop Joints & ...well....
Yeah, Anywhere else. The 64 dollah question...HP/TQ??

As to HP/TQ??---It's 472ci with stock hemi cam. Mass Flo port FI system.
About heat??---Heat is a result from fuel consumtion.--Work an engine and heat happens.
This engine has little work to do.:p
I have a 14"x16"x2" Griffin alum radiator in place below the trans. that will see forced air from a small brake duct fan as needed.
The small radiator in this pic next to the electric water pump is an oil cooler. Every little bit helps.

This is Insane. Which I could drive it.

It may very well be insane but I am not.:D --I just gave it birth and intend to raise it properly.

I will teach it that chevys and fords may be different but their place in this world is to be in front of.---
The natural order of things.:p

Slick. I'm also looking to buy Griffin for the chop bug. Some nice stuff, reasonable money for the Quality/Efficiency/Options. I think i was looking at an 11x15x2core, single pass w/ fan & shroud, aroud 800 bones.
Well, i think it's Flat Out Bitchin'!

My griffin was made to my exact order in every dimension right down to the AN fittings needed for my connections.
I would like to add that from my experience fabricating (limited as it is) I am very pleased with the quality of Griffin's work. I feel no reason to go elsewhere if I need a cooling solution solved.

Nice build too ws23jrt....

very imaginative, true ingenuity & engineering prowess
& it's actually Mopar related...LOL

I have a 426 Hemi in my 70 Bee
I can NOT imagine how you will get your legs around that thing!

Holy cow, truly magnificent!
it kind of calls that old adage to mind: "hey! That thing got a HEMI in it?"

My knees will be behind the valve covers and the seat height puts my feet flat on the ground.

I was thinking of a photo op. with the bike pulling a trailer with a dodge ram truck on it.:D

Remembering the ad clip with a dodge truck pulling a trailer with a charger on it and some yahoos asked the truck driver if the truck had a hemi in it.---found it--

Hmm---problem---how to make a trailer hitch work on this?
