I’m a solid roller guy but if I had to use a flat tappet cam, I’d use a solid flat tappet, edm oil through light weight tool steel Lifters to give it every chance to live.Yup: Hydraulic=different length pushrods. Please don't use a repro camshaft, it will give up probably 30HP compared to the 270S and give nothing in return. I have a dyno test in a magazine somewhere stating that but I'm too lazy to find it.
That’s clever! Is this a passage from the oil gallery ring to the center of the lifter and another lengthwise leaving the face somewhere? Seems like even a little hole would bleed off a lot of oil and pressure x16. Have you done it before?I’m a solid roller guy but if I had to use a flat tappet cam, I’d use a solid flat tappet, edm oil through light weight tool steel Lifters to give it every chance to live.
I thought Mopar lifters had a larger diameter than any other manufacturer and theirs would flop around in Mopar lifter bores.Chevy lifter. The hole on lifter face is .021.https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Howa...MIsoDQ6c-E9gIVL8mUCR0DhAlOEAQYAiABEgKeXvD_BwE

The post in response to Nate S about EDM hole. Note it was a chevy lifter so someone doesn't mistake it for a mopar lifter. Yes mopar lifters are larger.I thought Mopar lifters had a larger diameter than any other manufacturer and theirs would flop around in Mopar lifter bores.
Sonic Ram is a wedge, I assume that it's a wedge cam ground to Hemi cam specifications. A Hemi cam won't work in a wedge. My deceased brother left a "Street Hemi 284" cam. It will go into my future 413 sonic ram motor.
