i have a 1968 440 from a chrysler 300. it was apparently worked but i am unsure as to what could have potentially been done. i only have to 2 tags that i was hoping to give me a little clarity.

1- is a ARP (automotive racing products) rod bolts part # 145-6002
2- looks like a machine shop tag that has the numbers/letters

on the first row it reads R .010 M .010
on the second row it reads 2.365 2.740

any help in making any sense of these numbers, parts or how they can be applied would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like the rods and main bearings might have been turned .010 undersize.

Not sure about second line.

the second line is the journal size in inches. so the tag is referring to the crankshaft machine work. I would have to think the rods were re sized, cant think that a machine shop would replace rod bolts without re sizing the rods.
