I just seen pics of a 440 stamping was was shaved off. On the front engine boss, only part of the info was there. The F440 was there & the letters HP were there. Looks like any other info were machined off. Any reason for that to be done ??

If it was from milling the deck then the first thing hit should have been the F440

No, vin pad has a vin on it. The boss pad has no date or other info on it.

Weird. Must have been Friday in the engine shop... lol
If the F440 and the HP are there, then the build date just wasn't stamped. Does the VIN match your car?
