Either a stock bore, or .030 O.S. would work. What is the C Height on your pistons, John?I have this set of stock pistons and rods out of a 68-69 440.
I will split off the pistons for $100.00.

According to the factory specs it's 2.03 and no valve reliefs!Either a stock bore, or .030 O.S. would work. What is the C Height on your pistons, John?
That's close.According to the factory specs it's 2.03 and no valve reliefs!
Great. Like to get them a new home.Well the ICON piston has a 2.067 C Height. And it's a flat top. So may go that route, unless I decide to build a 451.
Yea, that makes senseBear in mind that 440 pistons prior to 1968 had a lower compression height due to the closed combustion chamber heads. After 1967 the heads all had open chambers and the pistons had a taller compression height. Use later pistons with early heads or vice-versa to up your compression ratio by about 1 point.
I've got speed pro 2295s.;(domes)030 over .I'm at 52537 $160shippedLooking for a set of 440 pistons with a 2.067 C Height. The L 2355 F is 2.061, would be OK. Or a 440 6 pack piston should work too. Anyone have any?
