I thought I had the right pulleys for my 1969 non-ac w/ power steering 440 build. The water pump pulley is 6-7/8” and the crank pulley is 6-3/4”. They are very close together and the alignment is off about a 1/4”. Do I have the wrong water pump pulley, crank pulley or both?

If no one answers I can measure the ones on my Bee tomorrow. If I was to guess the WP pulley is wrong.

I thought the crank pulleys were usually 7" to 7 1/4". The water pump pulley was a bit smaller, in the range of 5 7/8".

No AC water pump pully measures 6 13/16"
Bottom pully measures 6 1/2" for water pump/alternator and 7 1/2" for power steering pully. A single bottom pully measures 6 1/2" also.

The water pump/alt pully does run close to the bottom 6 1/2" pully. Probably around 1/8" to 3/16".

It is a fair guess that the only way to know for sure is to measure them from an original car.
I was never a purist with this stuff. I have pieced together many cars just by using what fits regardless of whether it matched the original year model.
The pulleys and brackets of the Mopar engines sure changed a lot depending on year, model, A/C or not, Power steering or not, etc.

I believe the issue is with the crank pulley. I need #3614378 or #2946789 which is 7- 5/16” x 3” deep. The one I have is staggered holes but very different dimensions.

I had the same issue on my last charger with a 440, ended up with 2 small washers behind the water pump pulley on each bolt. I questioned why the pulleys were so close together also, I'm guessing a wrong pulley either one.
