Hi all, so this morning I went for a spin and on my way home found a good spot to let it rip a little.(68 satellite, 440/727) Low 1, part throttle through intersection then wham-o to the floor, hit 2, ran it up then hit 3rd. Just about where I was letting up the motor died. Coasted around the corner and upon stopping the first thing I noticed was smell of gas. Noticed no visual breakage anywhere..I first grabbed the big socket and gently nudged it to see if it would turn, which it did. Removed the air cleaner lid and some gas came out of it. Primary carb bowl was so full it was above the sight glass (850 demon mech) Thinking because it cut at probably 80mph the pump kept turning with no engine vacuum? Tried to start it, rotated but no start. Repeat, nothing. Swapped the chrome box for the spare orange and with some touch got it to start. Thinking, ok maybe the box just died. Slowly got it home(2 blocks away only) it seemed to sound normal, no missing, clanging etc...after it set awhile plugged the chrome box back in to confirm it was fubar'd and, of course, she roared to life....any ideas? Do I need to tear into this thing or does it sound like ignition is crapping out? Been driving it around pretty regularly in 100+ temps...
