4spd decode

Hi. can anyone help me decode this trans that came with my car.
the numbers on the pad are RP 45F 9A212754
the other numbers are as follows


PP8332729 0445
H 4
C 99129
C-99127
C 95664 Z
Any help would greatly be appreciated..Thanks

The only numbers I can help you with is the partial VIN on the trans and part of the PP #. The Then PP833 is for A-833 trans and the 9A212754 is the partial vin from the car the trans originally came from. The 9 is for 69, A is Lynch Road assembly plant and the 212754 is the sequence of the vin.

I believe a 23 spline 4 speed would be correct for a 340, 383 and 440/4bbl in 69. The 69 1/2 sixpack cars and hemi cars got the 18 spline trans. The tailshaft should be long for a b-body with the shifter mounting points on the end of the tailshaft or close to the case. The trans would have a short tailshaft for an A-Body smallblock.

it is the long tailshaft with one mounting point for the shifter at the front.

That trans is correct for a 69 B-body.

PP833 = four speed
2729 = 10,000 day calendar assembly date = Jan 16, 1969
0445 = 445th tranny assembled that day.

VIN 9A212754 Would be consistent with a Belvedere based car (383 Belvedere, Sport Satellite or Road Runner) with a scheduled production date of 1/22/69

18 Spline would be from a Hemi or 440 car.
23 spline would be from a 383 car. For the 69 model year, Lynch Road (A plant) did not build any cars that would have had a 340.

Did you part out the car from which the transmission came or do you just have the transmission?

When I bought my Super Bee a few weeks ago this transmission and alot of other parts he had collected came with it.

All 440's and hemis got the 18 spline. From your description you have a B body tranny from a 383 car.
